Proper Application of Liquid Foundation
Pre-makeup Preparation: Wait 3–5 minutes after skincare before applying makeup to ensure the skin is no longer tacky; allow sunscreen to set and form a film before applying foundation. Those with oily skin should simplify their skincare routine to prevent product pilling.
Application Technique: Dispense 1–2 pumps of foundation and dot it onto the center of the face; use a damp, squeezed-out makeup sponge to blend outwards using a vertical patting motion. Apply in thin, buildable layers-apply a second thin layer to the T-zone or areas needing coverage, while using a lighter touch on the cheeks.
Setting the Makeup: Oily skin types should press loose powder onto the T-zone, while dry skin types should use a hydrating setting spray. If oil breaks through later, blot the skin before touching up to avoid patchiness caused by layering fresh foundation directly over existing makeup.
