Optimize Storage Conditions
Location Selection: Store in a cool, dry, and enclosed drawer in the bedroom; strictly avoid windowsills exposed to direct sunlight or hot car interiors.
Temperature and Humidity Control: Maintain an ambient temperature of 15–25°C and keep the product away from humid areas like bathrooms to prevent bacterial growth caused by high humidity.
Avoid Refrigeration: Low temperatures can destabilize the foundation's emulsion system, causing oil-water separation; frequent temperature fluctuations can actually accelerate spoilage.
Minimize Contamination
Ensure Proper Sealing: After each use, wipe away any residue from the bottle opening before tightly screwing on the cap to minimize trapped air inside the bottle.
Decant to Reduce Opening Frequency: If you do not wear makeup frequently, decant the foundation into smaller, sterile containers; using small portions at a time reduces the need to repeatedly open the large bottle and expose the product to air.
Practice Proper Dispensing: Wash your hands before use; for wide-mouth jars, use a dedicated spatula to scoop out the product rather than touching it directly with your fingers, and avoid sharing the same bottle of foundation with others.
