Pre-application Preparation
‌Basic Skincare‌: After cleansing, apply toner and lotion. Those with dry skin can layer on a hydrating serum or cream, while those with oily skin should choose lightweight, oil-control products.
‌Transition to Makeup‌: After applying sunscreen, wait 3–5 minutes for the protective film to set completely before applying foundation to prevent pilling.

Common Application Methods
‌Using a Makeup Sponge‌
Dampen the makeup sponge beforehand and squeeze out excess water until no more drips out.
Dot the foundation onto your forehead, nose tip, cheeks, and chin; then, use the sponge to gently pat and blend it outwards.
For detailed areas, use the pointed tip of the sponge to pick up a small amount of foundation and press it into hard-to-reach spots like the sides of the nose and the corners of the eyes.
‌Using Your Fingers‌
Pick up an appropriate amount of foundation with your middle and ring fingers, then spread it evenly across your face using a pressing motion.
Adjust the direction of application according to the grain of your pores: blend outwards on the cheeks, upwards on the forehead, and downwards on the nose.
Look upwards and gently press a thin layer of foundation from the inner corner of the eye outwards to avoid heavy, cakey buildup.
‌Using a Foundation Brush‌
Apply a small amount of foundation to the brush head and spread it outwards from the center of the face, holding the brush at a 45-degree angle.
Gently pull the skin at the sides of the nose taut and brush against the grain of the pores for even coverage; finish by pressing with a dry powder puff to ensure the foundation adheres well.
